Support Groups

With our roots beginning as a self-help group clearinghouse in the 1980’s, we have a longstanding belief in the power of mutual support through support groups. Support groups are comprised of members who share a common concern such as addictions, parenting, grief, or a variety of health challenges. Experts and professionals often encourage and recommend support groups as a means to help individuals cope and experience recovery from their struggles.

The IMPACT Center maintains an extensive online database that provides access to hundreds of local and national support group resources available in Kansas. Users can search for a group by topic and by county. The Support Group Services webpage also offers a number of useful tools and resources for persons interested in starting, growing and/or leading a support group.
