AAron Davis Steps into New Role at the Community Engagement Institute as the New Director for the Center for Public Health Initiatives.
AAron is a life-long Shocker with two undergraduate degrees from WSU, along with a Masters in Business Administration. He is also in the process of attaining a second Masters, this one in Public Administration from the WSU Hugo Wall School of Public Affairs. A former employee of the Sedgwick County Health Department, he has experience working with a variety of Public Health programs and working with state and federal grants. He also draws experience from working for a local print and multimedia company for a number of years as the Financial Operations Manager.
During his time at the Community Engagement Institute, AAron has led statewide initiatives to address the role of Informatics in Governmental Public Health. He has implemented pilot programs to help local health departments implement Electronic Health Record Systems and address billing and medical coding procedures. He has presented at numerous state and national conference on these and other projects.
Scott Wituk, Executive Director of the Community Engagement Institute states, “We couldn’t be happier with Aaron. His work over the past several years has led to several new projects and initiatives. I’m really excited to see what direction he will take the Center in the coming years.”
